Matt Murphy’s September Memo

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Summer has come to a quick end. Hopefully, the nice weather will last right into fall!

STEPS will be closed Monday, September 5, for the Labor Day holiday. The following are the trips scheduled for the month of September.  We will be going Apple picking at Johnson’s farm on September 21.  Miniature golf and Gateano’s have been chosen to be revisited for a second month in a row!  Friendly’s, IHOP and the movies will round out the rest of the trips.  We will be continuing our Monday, Wegman’s shopping trips, the only exceptions is if there’s an outing on a Monday.  In this event we will shop on Tuesdays.

The continued goal of all of the outings is to continue to teach, communication skills, social/life/daily living skills, money management, healthy choices, proper edict, socialization, amongst others skills while in actual real life settings. The trips have been well received, fun and are self-directed coming right from our participants themselves.

If possible, please email me who will and will not be participating in the outings. This way I can have an idea of how many people will be attending the different functions.

Thank you so much,

Matt Murphy
